Product Description
420 stainless steel is a medium-carbon stainless steel composed of chromium, carbon and molybdenum, with good corrosion resistance and strength. 420 stainless steel bar is a medium carbon stainless steel . Under normal circumstances, 420 stainless steel has rather limited heat resistance and is favored for low-temperature working environments. Its maximum operating temperature is usually 650 ° C. Certain heat treatment processes, such as solution treatment and quenching and annealing are usually implemented to improve the heat resistance of 420 stainless steel by improving the material's grain boundary structure and grain size. The heat resistance of 420 stainless steel is lower than other heat-resistant stainless steels. So 420 stainless steel bars are not the perfect option for high temperature uses.
