Product Description
440C stainless steel is a high carbon martensitic stainless steel that has high strength, moderate corrosion resistance, and good hardness and wear resistance. Grade 440C is capable of attaining, the highest strength, hardness and wear resistance of all the stainless alloys after heat treatment. The high carbon content of 440C stainless steel pipe allows it to have good cutting and wear resistance. It also has excellent corrosion resistance to a variety of chemical corrosive media. 440C has excellent hardness due to its high carbon content. Through heat treatment and quenching, hardness of HRC 58-60 can be achieved, giving it excellent cutting ability and wear resistance. In addition, 440C has a high chromium content and excellent corrosion resistance in most acidic and alkaline environments. So 440C stainless steel material is especially preferred in high-end manufacturing fields such as aerospace, mechanical manufacturing, electronic equipment and medical devices.
