Docol 460 high edge ductile steel is the next generation of hot-rolled high-strength low alloy steel with improved local formability, leading to greater edge ductility and better edge trimming quality. Docol HE is a new range of hot-rolled advanced high-strength steels with greatly improved edge ductility for automotive manufacturers facing production technology challenges. It has been widely adopted for having improved edge ductility, local formability, and substantial increases in shear edge quality and hole expansion ratio. Docol 460 high edge ductile steel is produced using a new and tightly controlled method. It is suitable for stamping most geometric shapes and performs well in applications where trimming quality affects forming feasibility. Lastly, the steel can well adapt to the requirements of mold adjustment and wear resistance, so it is suitable for precision blanking. Automotive parts suitable for Docol 460 high edge ductile steel include various chassis components, consoles, seats, as well as driveline parts, clutches, couplings and any stamped parts with stretched edges.
